Does every post have to have a title? June 7, 2005

Mood: Pretty bad. Not gonna go into detail on that right now.
And now it’s June 2005. I suppose that’s an improvement, I’m down to 6 months since my last post. Maybe someday I’ll get it to once a week. Maybe.
So I’m done with my Junior year at UM. Stated another way (a far more frightening way), I’m a senior, and I’m on track to graduate April next year. THAT means that very very very shortly I’ll have to work on finding a job. A real job. A job with salary, benefits, and a boss/manager/slavedriver that is far less forgiving than my current bosses.
People keep asking me where I want to work or what I want to do. Honestly, I don’t know. I’m taking courses next year in operating systems, computer architecture, and embeded systems. I could see myself doing any of those. As for where, well, going to have to decided that once I actually get some offers. (Though, as anyone in my family will tell you, if Apple offered me a job, I’d be on the next flight to ‘Frisco.)
My sister just graduated from high school (Boy is THAT weird. Youngest siblings, you won’t understand. Older siblings and parents know EXACTLY what I mean). She’ll be at UM next year, studying Nuclear Engineering, and dual majoring in Vocal Music Performance if she gets into the Music School next year. I think she’s nuts, but she’s quite ok with that. She’s a smart one (valedictorian with a perfect 4.0, involved in most every extra-curricular activity, drum major, editor-in-chief of the HS newspaper, yada yada yada). Her goal was to out-do me, and I think she did a pretty decent job.
She’s off to Germany today for 3 weeks for the foreign exchange trip. She’ll have a great time. I sure did. I wish I were going again, this time I actually can speak some of the language.
That’s enough for now. People tell me their eyes glaze over and they don’t read my posts if they go too long.
